All Interactive Maps were created using ESRI® ArcIMS™ software. The maps are best viewed with at least "800 by 600 pixels" screen resolution, and with a recent version of Internet Explorer as the web browser. If you experience problems you should download the most recent version of Internet Explorer and try the site again. Connection speed to the Internet is also a concern. The maps will take a very long time to load on a computer with a dial-up connection. A dedicated Internet line is ideal for using this interactive site. Finally, if you are experiencing problems using some of the mapping tools, make sure to adjust your pop-up blocker settings in your Internet browser window menu to allow the IDNR Interactive Mapping website to display pop-up windows.
In the left menu on this page is a list of interactive maps developed by the Iowa Department of Natural Resources (IDNR). Click on the map title in the left menu to enter each website.
Also located in the left menu is extensive help in using this website, including help with the most frequently asked questions FAQs, help with the interactive mapping page layout, and help with mapping tools.
Before using an Interactive Map it is recommended that you go to the Help page, where you will find an interactive image that will guide you through the different features on an Interactive Map. Click here for the Help page.
The websites are interactive mapping applications and may not be accessible for all users. If you experience difficulties viewing this information, please contact
