How to Retrieve Iowa Streams Data (including Fish Survey data):

Please note that the hyperlinked Streams data is only available in the following mapping applications:

Water Monitoring Atlas
Watershed Atlas

1. Zoom In below a 1:200000 scale, or until the Stream (NHD) layer appears in the Legend.

2. Make the Stream (NHD) layer active.

3. Select the "hyperlink" button: It is located in the Toolbar near the top of the web page.

4. After selecting the "hyperlink" button, move your mouse to the Interactive Map and click on a Stream (NHD) line segment.

5. A new website containing stream data for that segment will appear. You can retrieve information from this website for several of Iowa's rivers and streams, including fish survey (abundance) data.
